Handfast

A windowed binding market.

Two sides unbind together.

Handfast is a windowed binding market. It binds each Window Share as a Timed Hold and Unbinds HAND only when the Live Window and a Counter Fill agree.

A worked window.

A 500 HAND sale leaves a Window Share of 10 HAND. Step the Hold, the Fill, and the Gate.

Inside Handfast.

There are three motions to hold. A trade writes a Timed Hold. The Live Window waits on a Counter Fill. Unbind retires HAND as Closed HAND, or the Hold does the Roll.

Write the Hold

Each trade leaves a Window Share of two percent. That share enters a Timed Hold. It is not a balance a Partner can spend.

Wait the Window

Each transfer steps the Live Window forward. Unbind needs the Gate Rule and a Counter Fill in that same Live Window. One side cannot finish alone.

Unbind or Roll

If both conditions hold, the Timed Hold Unbinds and those units become Closed HAND. If either fails, the Timed Hold Rolls — never cancelled, never clawed back. Nobody Unbinds early, redirects a Hold, or settles it out of turn.

What a Partner can expect.

The 6,000,000 HAND issue sits in the Pair Book from opening of the Pair Book. Each fill writes a Window Share that binds. Closed HAND appears only when the Live Window and a Counter Fill agree. Window Share, the Gate Rule, and the issue sit sealed at construction. No admin key relocates a Partner's HAND, halts the Pair Book, or mints Closed HAND back into issue.

Asked of the sash.

Is extra software required to hold HAND?

No. HAND trades in the Pair Book against ETH. A Partner is any wallet holding HAND.

What keeps two percent fixed?

Window Share has no setter. Two percent sits in the contract as a constant.

Can the Live Window be skipped or aimed?

The Gate Rule has no setter. Each transfer steps the Live Window forward. No key aims a window at one Partner or times the deadline.

Where does Closed HAND go?

It leaves issue in that same write that Unbinds. It sits nowhere. It is never issued a second time.

Does a key move a Partner's HAND or halt the Pair Book?

No. No deployer key has a path to relocate HAND, halt the Pair Book, or mint Closed HAND back into issue.

What happens in a Live Window with no Counter Fill?

The Timed Hold does the Roll. It moves into the next Live Window untouched. Nothing is cancelled.

Where does HAND trade?

In the Pair Book: Uniswap v4, Ethereum, ETH as quote.

How do I find the address?

The address appears as a control across this property of this property when live: selectable, copyable, explorer-linked.
